Malton Farm as it is today

Malton Farm

Once owned by Lady Margaret Beaufort, the mother of King Henry VII, the house is a rare example of a timber framed property dating from the early part of the 15th century.  The house has spent most of its history owned by Christ's College in Cambridge after having been bequeathed by Lady Margaret on her death in 1509.  On several documented occasions in the 16th century the house provided a refuge against the plague for the college masters and students.
